Why am I writing a blog? Is it because I'm jealous of other people's blogs, or that I have an excellent theme to commit to? I'm not quite sure, but I have a strong feeling that like many of my internet pursuits, this too shall pass.
For example, I have kept a fantasy baseball team for the past 2 years. Both seasons have started out with great zeal, daily updates, and smack talk on the fantasy chat room. However, by mid-season, I am experiencing a slump that I cannot easily recover from. After two weeks in a row of forgetting to update my pitching line-up, I generally give up.
In addition, I am one of the 5 people in America who does not have (or perhaps does not want) a smart phone. Yes, the "7" button on my phone is going bad and I can't even play Angry Birds. To throw salt in my wounds, even my 50 year old Dad has an iPhone.
Hopefully this blog will not go the way of my fantasy baseball team or stagnate like my cell phone upgrades. I'm not sure what theme or topic I will pursuit, but I hope to update at least biweekly. Wish me luck.
So, in the spirit of technology, let the blog begin!
